I started broadcasting in 1978 at age 16 at my high school radio station — and I've been going strong ever since.
I'm an author and veteran TV reporter with 5 decades of experience in broadcast journalism.
I've covered every imaginable story from floods to tornados to bank robberies to ice storms. I've been the lead story on countless newscasts and broken important investigative stories that keep my community safe while holding the powerful accountable. I've earned multiple awards including local Emmys and an Edward R. Murrow for storytelling and best use of video.
From Idaho, to N.C. to Michigan to Tennessee, I've traveled this nation reporting across the country. I've learned the tricks of the trade, while developing skills that make me a brand and set me apart from the pack.
